COVID-19 Community Letter July 2, 2020

Cashmere Care Center

Updated: Jul 6, 2020

Dear Residents and families,

We are writing to provide you additional updates regarding COVID-19, or Coronavirus, and our continued preventive actions.

A letter is being mailed today to notify you that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 as of today, July 2, 2020. After an extensive investigation including contact tracing, it was determined the staff member acquired the virus outside of the facility and the likelihood of her infecting residents is nominal.

We have notified the local health department and have coordinated COVID-19 testing to be conducted on July 3, 2020 for both staff and residents. As you may recall, another staff member had tested positive on May 5th which resulted in facility-wide testing and all results were negative. We anticipate the same results as staff and residents continue to adhere to strict infection control policy and procedures.

The safety of our residents and families continues to be our top priority and we are doing all we can to protect those we serve. The aggressive infection control measures implemented continue to be our top priority and we appreciate everyone's support during this difficult time.

Please note, if a positive test result is produced from the facility-wide testing, phone calls will be made to all resident families, guardians, and powers of attorney.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Paul Foltz – Administrator
