COVID-19 UPDATE MAY 9th

Dear Residents and families,

We are writing to provide you additional updates regarding COVID-19, or Coronavirus, and our continued preventive actions.

A letter was sent to all families and resident representatives on Tuesday, May 5th notifying recipients that a staff member had tested positive for COVID-19. After an extensive investigation including contact tracing, it was determined the staff member likely acquired the virus outside of the facility and the likelihood of her infecting residents was nominal.

Follow-up phone calls were placed and staff advised both residents and family members that the Cashmere Care Care was working closely with the local health department and Confluence Health concerning next steps.

An incredibly talented team from Confluence Health arrived at the facility on Thursday, May 7th and tested all residents and staff members. The results are as follows: 100% negative of all residents!

The safety of our residents and families continues to be our top priority and we are doing all we can to protect those we serve. The aggressive infection control measures implemented continue to contribute to our top priority and we appreciate everyone's support during this difficult time.

As a reminder, we continue to assist with Skype, FaceTime and Zoom calls in addition to coordinating weekly phone calls. Communication and transparency with family and friends is another top priority for all staff to facilitate on behalf of our residents.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Paul Foltz – Administrator
